I'm rating this later on a second endeavour. The first time I followed the recipe to a T and thought information technology was bland, but a great starter recipe (three ***'due south then). I've since fabricated information technology with the following substitutions. While cooking veggies and meat I added table salt, pepper, minced garlic. When adding the broth I also added three tbspn of red wine. Instead of using one/2 loving cup sour cream, I used 1/4 cup low fat sour cream and 1/4 cup cream of mushroom. FANTASTIC!!!!!
01/12/2007
This was very skilful. I followed the directions precisely, and it turned out merely perfect. There was a nice rest between the flavours of all of the components, and expecially some sugariness from the onions, and nifty mushroom flavours. The Stroganoff was creamy, and really flavoured each and every noodle. I made enough for 4 portions, so that I can eat more at a afterward date, and I am glad I did. This is the best tradtional stroganoff I have had to date. Add 1 clove minced garlic to mushroom/onion mixture for enhanced flavours. Thanks Coleen!

Nifty recipe! Very flavorful and very piece of cake to brand. I substituted olive oil for butter, beefiness consomme for beef broth and added 1 tbsp of minced garlic to the onions and mushrooms. Delicious!
09/twenty/2006
Delicious for how piece of cake it is! Fabricated a few changes. Added 1 tsp minced garlic to the onion and mushrooms; used sliced sirloin steak instead of basis beef and added 1 tsp dijon mustard to the beefiness bouillon. Made the dish a lilliputian more flavorful and less Hamburger Helper-like.

I was looking for a recipe similar to the Rice-A-Roni stroganoff that was recently discontinued. With a few modifications, this recipe fit the pecker. I sauted the onion and hamburger together, adding a couple cloves of minced garlic, leaving out the butter. Just as the hamburger started to brown, I added a tin can of sliced mushrooms and continued to cook. Once the hamburger was dark-brown, I deglazed the pan with some dry sherry, then, instead of adding flour, I added the beef goop, brought it to a boil and added ane loving cup of minute rice and half the sour foam. Brought information technology up to just boiling, covered, reduced oestrus and simmered 10-15 minutes until the rice was washed and information technology started to thicken. Right toward the end, I added the residuum of the sour cream. My husband loved it. Information technology will definitely be fabricated again.

Good starter recipe. Started out a scrap bland merely was VERY good after some tweaking. I followed other reviewers' suggestions and added Worchestershire sauce, garlic and pepper. I also added onion salt, plus additional salt. Still needed a little kick and so I added paprika.
01/06/2006
Pretty darn tasty! I took all the tips. 2 Tbsp worcsh, paprika, garlic salt yada yada. Worked out perfect.
04/24/2011
I didn't care for this recipe. Commencement, it doesn't state it and I know most cooks do it automatically but DRAIN THE Fatty from the basis beefiness. It should still be in the instructions because sometimes you want to keep it and sometimes you don't. This is a don't time. Information technology can come out greasy and soupy if you don't. I besides recommend not cooking the noodles separate. Once you've completed the sauce just before the sour cream is added, through the noodles into the dish and permit them absorb the sauce. The noodles come out banal if you don't. Season very well. I added a fair corporeality of table salt and pepper and nonetheless found it banal.

corking starter recipe. changes i made: 1. add together mushrooms when onions are partially cooked. 2. add 3 T red wine & 3 cloves minced garlic while onion/mushroom mixture is cooking. 3. brown onion in but 1 T butter. 4. use lite sour cream, of course. five. add 3 more T red wine to sauce. vi. let sauce simmer for 15 minutes to allow flavors to blend. fabulous.
02/15/2006
This was yummy with my own additions. 2 garlic cloves, double mushrooms and soy sauce. For the gravy I mixed powdered beefiness broth, chocolate-brown gravy mix and the liquid from the mushroom cans along with more water.
04/06/2009
This was really practiced. I read some other reviewers' comments and included some garlic at the end of sauteeing the mushrooms and onions, and also added some worcestershire sauce while cooking the ground beef. I eyeballed the flour and beef broth amounts, and added more of both as I felt was needed. I used depression fat plain yogurt instead of sour cream. The sauce had a prissy, thick consistency and was really yummy.
12/24/2005
This was a good/easy recipe for beef stroganoff...but we did make some minor changes. Following the suggestions of another reviewers, we did add about two tbsp of Worcestershire sauce and substituted 1/ii of the sour cream for Golden Mushroom soup; it's probably likewise worth noting that nosotros cut this recipe in half, and it turned out only fine. DH did savour the flavor more than than I did...I felt it still lacked something, merely I'1000 not sure what.

This is one of our stand by, go to meals. I made the post-obit changes. 1. Put salted h2o on to boil. (should be every bit salty as the sea). 2. Slice fresh mushrooms, dice i/ii medium onion, mince a clove or so of fresh garlic. iii. Drop the noodles in the h2o but after starting the meat. 4. Place meat in skillet. Equally the meat just starts to brown and juices brainstorm, add the onion. Add the garlic a little later on on. (You're cooking the onion in the beef fat rather than butter. 5. After the meat is cooked, drain off all but a tablespoon of grease. 6. Return pan with meat to burner. Sprinkle the ground meat with 3 to 4 tablespoons of flour and cook for a minute or two (the culinary term is singer and it allows the grease (fatty) to coat the flour and cooks the flour. 7. Add i cup of beef stock/broth and stir. Add together more as necessary to form a overnice smoother sauce. 8. Add mushrooms and simmer. The sauces will thicken as it cooks. ix. Go on to simmer until mushroom are done. x. Just prior to service; take it off the heat and stir in the room temperature sour cream. One pan, quick, fast, and in hurry. If information technology is also dry or bland attempt changing the beefiness or beef stock/broth The primal is the beef stock/goop. Scratch fabricated is the best; however I practise quite well with beef base or Burgoo. Lately I've used "Ameliorate Than Bouillon" by Superior Touch. Another key is the ground beef. I find the 80/20 good. The 90/10 seems to exist as well dry.
12/22/2003
Fantabulous!! I followed the advice of other people who rated this recipe and added some chopped garlic (two cloves) & red wine (one/ii loving cup)to brown the beef...along with the butter & later the flour etc. A little salt & pepper with just one cup (eight oz) of sour cream added virtually the end just turned out to exist awesome. I also used black angus london broil beefiness; cut very thin across the grain; that was cooked on a gas grill several weeks earlier (that I usually save & freeze for steak fajitas) instead of the ground beefiness. The beef added a nice slight smoky flavor to the sauce which was served over lightly buttered egg noodles. A huge striking with my friends who easily compared it with similar dishes at 4-star french restaurants. A VERY VERY good base recipe for beefiness stroganof. Highly recommended!!!

This was very good, but I used many of the previous reviewers' tips and a few of my own. I added minced garlic to the mushrooms and onions- nosotros dear garlic and I call back this would have been a bit bland without it. I did non cook my hamburger in butter - who needs the extra fat? I institute that the 1 loving cup of sour cream was not enough, and so I added a tin can of condensed cream of mushroom soup and a few dashes of worchestershire and dijon mustard. My swain LOVED this. My one tip to swain cooks - use a VERY big skillet. Past the fourth dimension you go two pounds of beef, cups broth, and all the other ingredients in the pan - in that location's barely any room to stir. And stirring is definitely necessary to blend the ingredients well. Too, I used a 16 oz package of egg noodles and institute it to be also many noodles. Definitely pay attending and merely use 12 oz. Especially if y'all're similar me and similar the noodles mixed in with the beef sauce.

This recipe is a good starter, but needs a few tweaks to bring information technology from "ho-hum" to something special. I saute chopped onions with a clove of minced garlic in Canola oil until almost done, add fresh sliced mushrooms and continue cooking for a minute or and so. Remove from pan. In same pan, fry thinly sliced circular or sirloin steak which has been seasoned with pepper and salt (optional). When done, add together flour, i T. Worcestershire sauce, 1 T. lemon juice, the beef broth or burgoo, and one bay leaf. Stir until smooth and add together the mushrooms/onion mixture. When heated through, add together sour foam. Stir until combined, remove from estrus and serve on top of the cooked and tuckered egg noodles.

This is 1 of my kids' favourite dishes and it is so easy that they can aid go far too. Information technology is a go-to for busy weeknights. I e'er use lots of mushrooms, olive oil, lean ground beefiness, and low-fat sour cream. A few times I used whole-wheat flour and that worked fine too.
01/04/2011
Very good and piece of cake! Nosotros made this twice already, in one case with thinly sliced sirloin steak and the 2d time with ground beef. Both times turned out well merely kids like it more with sliced sirloin steak. Would take rated this 5 stars, except nosotros made some changes per the recommendations of others. We replaced 1/two c sour cream with cream of mushroom soup, added worcestershire sauce and garlic, and omitted the flour equally the sauce was thick plenty.
01/19/2011
I rarely take the fourth dimension to write a review or rate some of the recipes on here, which I should exercise more considering I appreciate when people rate and review mine. I fabricated this recipe as is and I found it to be very flavorful. I did add Worchestershire sauce which added that little "actress" that it needed. I also used low sodium beefiness broth so that I was in control of the sodium content. I do non concur with the corporeality of butter used in this recipe and would most certainly not use that much again. That's the reason it only gets the four stars instead of 5. The ease of this recipe is great. I know there are many, many ways to brand a good stroganoff, just this one is a keeper for me and my family unit when a quick, just delicious repast is needed on a busy weeknight. Thank you for sharing this recipe. I will absolutely brand this stroganoff again!!!

I have been making a similar recipe to this for years with one VERY importantant twist. Go ahead and cook your pasta equally usual. I brown the ground beef and when about half washed I add the chopped onion. Sautee all until done. Drain the excess fat from the browned beef. Add your fresh chopped garlic and sautee but a couple of minutes being careful not to burn the garlic. This is where I make my secret twist to this recipe. I have constitute that when you use flour to thicken the consistency of your sauce and add beef stock or beef bullion, there is an easier and much more succulent twist. I mix 3-4 talespoon of Brownish Gravy mix in about a cup of water and dissolve very well. Add together the brown Gravy mix and it thickens the sauce and gives it the Flavor Heave needed to keep this recipe from tasting so bland. Add the mushroms and continue to simmer until it thickens. I then add the sourcream before serving and stir slightly so you tin can run across the sour cream and brown gravy slightly mixed together. Now that's Gooood!!!
09/16/2012
We really liked information technology. I felt that the sauce demand a bit extra beef flavor, then I added some beef base of operations and so it was perfect. Easy and tasty. Will brand once again.
09/18/2008
really good. I used stew beefiness instead of ground beefiness.
01/28/2015
Hubby loved it...that's all that matters. Next time I will add common salt as I melt the meat and maybe add garlic for flavor. Otherwise, this is a great recipe! From showtime of chopping onions to the table...35 minutes! Thank you!
02/23/2012
This is a fantastic dish! I did notwithstanding brand slight changes: For my beef broth I just added virtually three cups of water to my hamburger while cooking with some garlic pulverisation, common salt, pepper, and stale parsley and drained it and set information technology aside. I also used a 16 ounce container of sour cream rather than only a cup. I similar to sprinkle a footling more garlic pulverization, salt, and pepper in the stop. Wonderful dish! Thank yous!
10/05/2012
Easy and tasty. I did add fresh garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and doubled the mushrooms. My husband liked this.
02/14/2011
Awesome and easy! Thanx for the recipe.
07/31/2012
Sooooo good! My family loved it! Super easy and quick to make and tastes significantly better then the boxed stuff. This will be i I use for years to come.
ten/03/2010
I fabricated this recipe the other night, although I made information technology a little different and it came out Nifty! I don't like beefiness stroganoff at all, never have, but this was really actually good! I used 1 med. onion, 1lb of ground beef. 2 tbsp of flour, 1/2 C sour cream, ane i/two C of beef broth and i tbsp of Worcestershire sauce along with all the other ingredients this recipe called for. The Worcestershire sauce gives information technology a really practiced flavor.
04/30/2009
Really skilful - everyone cleaned their plates. Used beef stew meat instead of hamburger, and cooked this in the crock pot. Starting time I coated the beef with flour and browned in batches with a little olive oil. Once all the beef was browned, I added a mixture of half shallots and half white onion (didn't have enough of either by themselves) and pre-sliced infant Bella mushrooms to the skillet and lightly browned them. Added mushroom/onion mixture and beef to the crockpot, deglazed the skillet with some of the beef broth, then added all the goop to the crockpot. I also added some thyme leaves, as I like the season they add. When I got home, I mixed about a tablespoon of flour with the sour cream, and so mixed the sour cream in the crockpot to finish. Served over kluski egg noodles. Keen and super easy dinner to come habitation to.
01/24/2008
I didn't really follow the recipe but I took some other reviwers advice instead and cooked an onion in canola oil, and so browned 1 lb. of extra lean ground beefiness, added one can of consomme soup, then ane loving cup of sour foam and 4 tbsp. of flour to the mixture and simmered until thick. I served this over egg noodles, and information technology was very yummy! thanks for the idea!
10/05/2000
I really liked this dish. This will be a regular at my firm. In the hereafter, though, I'll drain the mushrooms and onions after sauteeing them. Adding them back in with their juices caused the thickening broth to become fashion likewise thin. (Oh ... I did add together a splash of sherry with the broth. I couldn't resist!)
09/29/2001
The 2nd fourth dimension I made this recipe, I added 1/3 c. white wine when calculation the beef broth. Information technology took a few minutes longer to cook, but the issue was amazing!
09/26/2014
The just things I inverse is that I don't use butter and I added 1/4 cup of red wine. This time I had 93/7 fatty ground beef. This is my go to meal for quick, succulent repast that makes me wait adept!
08/xiv/2003
I really idea this was easy to make. The only time I take ever eaten stroganoff was when I bought the boxed version. I actually liked this and since my husband was late for dinner, it was an like shooting fish in a barrel recipe to hold up for a while. I did read the reviews before making and took some others ideas past adding some garlic to the meat while browning and a little bit of white wine to the sauce. It really tasted very good. I remember side by side fourth dimension I volition endeavor information technology as it stands and encounter what the outcome is. Thanks for posting.
02/16/2003
Fantabulous, piece of cake dinner. I added 2 cloves chopped garlic while browning the beef.
01/26/2011
Exactly what I was looking for. Tasted dandy! the merely thing I did different was that I added about 4 cloves of garlic to the mushroom/onion when sauteing. This can easily be modified to exist a scrap more eye good for you by using ground turkey, omitting the butter and just using a tablespoon of healthy oil to cook the mushroom/onion/garlic and using a low-cal sour cream. YUM!!!
05/22/2012
This was neat! Followed to a T with the exception of calculation salt and pepper according to my own taste and too adding swiss cheese to the sauce. Delicious!
11/29/2005
This was enjoyable, yet I wish I had read the reviews before I attempted this. I made the mistake of using low fat sour cream and it was much also watery and not rich enough. Live for today and apply full fat sour cream!! I will effort this over again though, information technology was very nice and heated upwards very well the adjacent day. :) Thanks for the recipe Colleen!
02/18/2006
Not bad. I thought it was a footling on the banal side, just not bad.
03/10/2011
Very easy and quick, taste is adept just if y'all add some extra spices is even ameliorate. My married man and teenagers liked it.
x/13/2002
This recipe was super easy to make and super delicious. In the past, I'd simply used sliced beef steaks in my Stroganoff. Only, after trying this recipe, I'll definitely switch! Information technology's a fleck more tasty and a lot less expensive to brand. My husband is non a stroganoff fan. But, after fooling him one night by telling him that it was Hamburger Helper, he now requests information technology -- very often! The only modification that I fabricated was to add a bit more than beef broth, to give it a little more flavor.
03/16/2010
This was good and easy and fabricated nifty lunch for the next day. My husband made information technology we changed the servings to 4 and added 1 TBS. Worschestire sauce, two cloves of garlic and 1/2 c. of ruddy wine. Will definately make it once again.
08/07/2011
My hubby loves Beefiness Stroganoff. It's not healthy by whatever means, but you can probably use low fat foam cheese and whole wheat noodles to cut downwardly on the calories and fat.
12/08/2012
SUPER easy! Great beginners recipe for learning beef stroganoff. I always play around with my recipes too and this 1 is pretty forgiving.
03/01/2011
Fantabulous. Based on reviews, I sauted a sliced onion and eight oz. of sliced mushrooms in salt, pepper, garlic powder & one tablespoon of olive oil and removed from pan. In the aforementioned pan, I and so dark-brown 2 pounds of ground turkey seasoned with common salt, pepper and arlic powder and add 1 can of beef goop. In a carve up basin, I mix 1 cup of fat free sour cream with three tablespoons of flour with salt and pepper to taste, then add to the meat mixture and permit simmer until flavors take blended.
11/16/2014
Like shooting fish in a barrel and skillful
01/11/2011
Yummy! Followed the recipe, but added fresh garlic when cooking the mushrooms and onion. My whole family liked this - peculiarly my ii twelvemonth quondam!
12/29/2010
Like shooting fish in a barrel and inexpensive. I added a dash of worchestershire, minced garlic, black pepper, and a little ruddy wine to round out the flavor.
06/xvi/2006
Fantabulous! I fabricated a few substitutions considering of my bare pantry (1 cup h2o westward/beef bullion instead of canned beefiness broth, onion pulverisation instead of onions) and made some changes due to taste (added 2 tsp. minced garlic to saute pan, used 1/2 of sour foam, added 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce & added 1 loving cup cream of mushroom soup), just it was Awesome and my family loved it. Volition try over again the "right" way! Cheers for the great recipe.
11/22/2002
this was a very easy meal to prepare. i added green peppers to my mushrooms and onions. i used lowfat sour cream and it didn't change information technology one flake. i besides added a little garlic pulverisation and black pepper for a stronger taste. GREAT!!!!!
08/04/2004
Excellent with the following modifications. First, I sauted onions in cooking spray, not butter. Then browned beef with no butter. In addition to beef broth, I added iii/4 cup dry out red vino and a few dashes of worcestershire sauce and a tbsp of cornstarch. I then had to boil for about fifteen minutes to thicken. (I skipped the mushrooms). Finally, I added the onions and sour cream and served over hot buttered egg noodles - delicious and flavorful. Volition make once again - cheers!
01/17/2012
A quick recipe for a good family meal, I added some garlic to the mushrooms and onion while they were cooking, definitely a recipe I will make again. More than than enough left over for dejeuner the next mean solar day!
01/21/2007
This recipe definitely deserves 5 stars! Easy to brand, fast and delicious... Information technology volition become a staple at my house. I had never made stroganoff earlier considering I'm not fond of beef simply with footing meat, it's a different story! Thank you for posting!
01/02/2012
The meal was slap-up, easy, and quick. I fabricated a few changes because I didn't accept mushrooms. I added 1/two cup of mushroom soup and strained the rest to put the mushrooms in the repast. I also added mustard seed seasoning and combined my noodles and stroganoff mixture earlier serving.
03/07/2012
Proficient flavor. I used half basis beef and half sausage. I didn't add as much sour cream and left out the mushrooms altogether. Volition make this again for sure! Very piece of cake!
05/26/2010
I like using Campbell's condensed double force beef goop or one can each of Campbell'south beef broth and Campbell's french onion in this recipe to give information technology an extra umph in flavor. Bully over egg noodles, best over garlic mashed potatoes. This is So practiced.
09/26/2014
Actually tasty! I added some minced garlic, though, and some garlic salt and freshly footing black pepper while the meat was cooking. Very easy, and very delicious! It was even tastier reheated the adjacent twenty-four hours.
11/11/2009
My fellow actually loves stroganoff, and this recipe was perfect. Topped with a little sour foam, information technology was not bad. I near always add extra pepper to things similar this, so I think that was the only affair I kinda inverse. Great recipe!
03/24/2006
5 stars with changes! Used footing turkey & worceshire sauce to season it. Too added 2 cloves of garlic to the mushrooms, used Carmine onion, and added one beefiness bullion cube.
08/13/2007
This was admittedly wonderful. Being unmarried, I usually make big meals on Sunday evening so that I'll accept something for the residue of the calendar week for left-overs. This is fifty-fifty ameliorate the second day. I didn't really make any changes except for calculation garlic to the mix. I just added the ground beef to the onion/mushroom/garlic mixture instead of removing. I mixed the flour in with the goop which did make information technology easier to mix. Also, just to cut out a step and extra dishes, I doubled the goop and just added the uncooked noodles to the whole mix, covered and allow simmer for about a half hr. Will definitely make once more.
11/xviii/2009
As a jumping off signal this recipe is great. It is quick and easy and kid friendly. My family unit loves mushrooms so I was able to add more than of the things that we dearest. Also I bumped up the season with some crushed garlic and a little red pepper flake. It completed the flavour to perfection. My family loved it and I will make it again and over again.
07/09/2013
Followed the directions except I added foam of mushroom soup and 1 1/ii cups of beef broth. Family LOVED it. All of them. That is a rarity in our business firm. Thanks!
06/nineteen/2011
Very practiced. I had some left over trip tip then I just made the sauce and served it over the meat forth with steamed white rice (my husband likes this kind of dish ameliorate with rice than with noodles.)
09/12/2012
I've been using this exact recipe for years. I love information technology. Simply I noticed past reading some of the reviews that some people have trouble witht the sour cream breaking/seperating. You should accept the pan off the estrus before adding in the sour cream. Don't let it eddy subsequently adding it. 1 cup of sour cream at room temp. won't cool the dish downwards much at all. I take the sour foam out when I start dicing the onions and mushrooms.
02/22/2010
very good recipe. Modified it only slightly past using strips of circular steak that I had left over. And used merely a bit of cream of mushroom along with the sour cream. Makes it quite tasty. Volition practise this one again.
04/04/2011
i gotta say i didn't think this was amazing...but my family unit did, go figure. used chicken broth (bullion) instead of beef broth. added a couple cloves minced garlic to sauteing onions.
07/thirteen/2011
It was practiced except it called for too much onion. I had even reduced the onion to half a small onion and information technology was to overpowering of a sense of taste. Added garlic powder and lawry's seasoning while cooking the meat. Maybe would advise a red onion or a sweet vidalia onion for a sweeter season.
11/03/2009
Cheers to reviewer "awesome in tummy." I took the proposition of thinly slicing sirloin into strips instead of the ground beef. A bit more time consuming but very much worth the extra try! My husband absolutely loved this recipe and then did I. Read the suggestions by "crawly in tummy" and follow for a dandy dish.
01/14/2007
always comes out peachy! a fast and easy meal to make when you're presssured for time! the family loves it! and heats up peachy the next solar day!
04/21/2008
I added Worcestershire sauce likewise every bit French cutting light-green beans. I skipped the chopped onion and fresh mushrooms and in place of them, used dried onions and canned mushrooms as I was lacking the extra time needed for the fresh ingredients. It all turned out well and my family enjoyed it.
02/14/2011
it was ok simply information technology seemed a chip dri
x/12/2014
I did non care for this.
09/13/2011
I've made this several times. Information technology has great flavor and is then like shooting fish in a barrel to make.
12/12/2011
I used 1lb beef...2 lb would have been overkill. Skipped mushrooms and oil, and season was adept. Fifty-fifty my two-and-a-one-half year erstwhile ate it!
08/x/2002
My family unit ate this up, kids and adults. Swell recipe. I thing worth noting: I used lowfat sour foam and it did backbite from the flavor. Next fourth dimension I will just go full fat.
09/26/2014
Bully quick supper. Lends itself to ingredients on hand!
11/13/2010
I love Beef Stroganoff, but this recipe is lacking a little zing. I use strips of beef, 2-three cloves of garlic, W-sauce, and my secret ingredient: Dijon mustard. Def kicked it into high gear.
04/twenty/2008
This recipe was bully. The adjacent day I added a tin can of tomato soup (with milk) to the leftovers and we had soup. Try it. It's actually proficient.
03/29/2006
This was good merely I'd much rather brand this with steak cutting into strips.I used lean hamburger and even after draining the grease off I still found it besides greasy. If your going to effort this recipe employ extra lean hamburger but for the price of it you lot might every bit well go with i and a half lbs. of steak.
09/03/2013
While the recipe lends itself to a tasty and simple entree, the accompanying motion picture is really a plough off. The beef looks completely raw and the sauce has a red tint instead of the nice brownish beef and gravy that the recipe creates. Delight supervene upon this moving-picture show with something more representative.
03/14/2011
We halved the recipe and used basis turkey in place of the ground beef. Did not utilise any butter. Used reduced fatty sour cream. Next time, will add together some garlic. Served with salad and "whole wheat beer staff of life" from this site.
05/07/2011
This actually turned out pretty practiced, but I did make a few changes. First of all, I cutting the recipe in half because it was only for two of us. I used ground turkey, reduced fatty sour foam and craven stock because that is what I had. I too added diced bell peppers and some paprika. I felt it needed more sour cream because it was notwithstanding a fiddling sparse, so I added in nearly another 1/4 loving cup. I will definitely make this again because information technology was yummy, easy, cheap and very filling!
06/27/2010
This was such an easy recipe! My teenagers and husband actually enjoyed information technology!!
02/25/2007
As is, this is ok. I left the sliced mushrooms out due to preference and subbed a tin of cream of mushroom. To get in healthier, I apply olive oil instead of butter. Sauteed some chopped garlic (1/two - 1 T?) with the onions, and drained it the beefiness & onions earlier adding the sauce. I only utilize about two T of flour to balance the taste, and add together most a quater of a loving cup milk to make it saucier. Very easy and quick! My Ingredients: 1 can cream of mushroom soup, i onion, 2-iv T olive oil, 2 lbs beef, 2 T flour, 1/two c sour foam, i/4 c milk
03/07/2006
I take been making this for years now, with the add-on of a sprinkling of chopped parsley on top as a garnish. The family loves it, and has christened it Sorta Stroganoff
05/04/2005
I am one to follow a recipe and so add a few of my own touches. Well I was in a hurry and did'nt carp to add annihilation extra and that was a mistake. This recipe was so bland it was hardly touched. I will non make this again, it was terrible.
05/13/2012
Very quick and simple, but lacking on taste. Information technology tasted like something was missing.
06/08/2010
this was kinda bland... I will stick to my regular beef stroganoff recipe.
04/26/2011
I fallowed.the recipe merely added one parcel of dry out onion soup mix. Information technology was the best I have ever tasted!

Liked this recipe because it was quick and easy. Need to add some actress seasonings to make it taste like truthful beef stroganoff. Was a bit bland with only table salt and pepper. Added onion salt, and garlic salt as well as the salt and pepper. For low sodium diets onion and garlic powders can be substituted. Also helps to mince some fresh garlic and cook with onion and mushrooms at offset of recipe. Very Yummy!

I fabricated this dish for dinner last nighttime and was delicious. The only changes I made were using beefiness stew meat instead of ground beef and adding a few tablespoons of cherry-red wine into the meat and sauce mixture. Cheers for such an easy recipe. I'll definately be making this again.

This is a bully Stroganoff -no fuss no mess. Since at that place are just 2 of us at abode, I used one pound of beef, three Tbs of flour, 1 Tbs Worcestershire sauce and ane cup of fat free sour cream and the stroganoff nonetheless came out terrific. Since I didn't have egg noodles in my pantry, I used fusili (or rotini) and my married man actually liked them better. By the way, the left over sauce freezes very well. Thaw to room temperature and then heat and serve. Slap-up make alee dinner.
